What's the Greatest Console Ever?

I'd probably go a couple of generations earlier with the original PlayStation.

The console truly felt like it broke new grounds, and we're still seeing remakes and remasters of several of the best titles that it had to offer.
 
Well.. that's a very tricky question, as an old dude now, i've been through many generations that caught in different situations.. i was so fond of portable gaming consoles like Game Boy Color, Advance and PSP, but i also enjoyed playing on the SNES and Genesis (console i didn't have). It's hard to tell which one i played the most.. but i'm siding with nintendo.. and my choice would be the Super NES.
 
360 would probably hold as my number 1 as well. The amount of hit after hit on the 360, the avatars, the avatar games, free games, phantasy star universe, MW2, Halo 3, 1v100, the community and interactions, everything was absolute peak. I honestly think that gaming peaked during that entire era, PS3 went hard as well for a lot of people. It was just win/win/win for every console during that time!
 
Sega Mega Drive/Genesis is the greatest console of all time IMO. Sonic made his debut on the console and it was the first one I ever played and owned as a kid. PS2 comes in second for me, then Xbox 360. Sure you could emulate the Mega Drive/Genesis on the 360 but I'm very picky when it comes to sound emulation and the emulators for the 360 have poor sound quality.

I do absolutely love the Genesis. It's sadly one of my least populated collection I have though with only 4 games and a CIB (Sonic Pinball (I also play my CIBs so I'm not a collector more than I'm a gamer))
 
I loved my MegaDrive/Genesis. Lots of good memories. I remember thinking placing Son 1, 2 & 3 on top of Sonic & Knuckles was revolutionary. Not sure if it was at the time to be fair....
