Respect Other Members

Gaming discussions can get passionate. Keep them respectful.

Do not harass, bully, threaten, intimidate or personally attack other members.

Disagree with opinions, not the person expressing them. Healthy debate is welcome; personal attacks are not.

No Hate or Discrimination

Hate speech, discriminatory abuse and attacks against people based on protected or personal characteristics are not permitted.

Don't deliberately ruin discussions or other members' enjoyment of the community.

Posting Guidelines

Think about whether your post is appropriate for the community before publishing it.

  • Do not post excessively offensive, obscene or inappropriate material.
  • Do not post pornographic or sexually explicit content.
  • Do not post content intended to shock, disgust or deliberately upset other members.
  • Keep discussions reasonably on-topic for the forum or section you're posting in.
  • Use appropriate titles and avoid deliberately misleading thread titles.
  • Spoilers should be clearly marked where appropriate.

No Spam or Unwanted Promotion

Help keep discussions useful and free from unnecessary noise.

Don't flood forums with repetitive posts, pointless replies, duplicate threads or automated content.

No Unauthorised Advertising

Advertising, promotional campaigns and commercial activity should not be posted without permission where GamingDNA requires it.

Links should contribute to the discussion and should not be used primarily to drive traffic elsewhere.

Keep GamingDNA Safe

Protect yourself, other members and the community.

  • Do not share another person's private or personal information without their permission.
  • Do not doxx, threaten or attempt to expose another member's private information.
  • Do not impersonate another member, staff member, company or public figure.
  • Do not attempt to compromise, exploit or disrupt GamingDNA systems.
  • Do not promote or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Do not distribute pirated games, software or other copyrighted material without permission.

GOOD FAITH

Don't Deliberately Disrupt

Participate in good faith and don't deliberately create conflict.

Trolling isn't a free pass

Deliberately provoking arguments, derailing threads, baiting members, repeatedly ignoring forum guidance or creating accounts to cause disruption may result in moderation action.

Follow Staff Instructions

Our staff team is here to maintain a healthy and enjoyable community.

STAFF DECISIONS

Follow reasonable instructions

Staff members may intervene when necessary to protect the community and maintain these rules.

REPORT PROBLEMS

Let staff handle it

If you encounter content or behaviour that breaks these rules, report it rather than escalating the situation yourself.

ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY

One Community, One Standard

Your account and the activity carried out through it are your responsibility.

  • You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
  • Do not create additional accounts to evade a moderation action or restriction.
  • Do not use alternate accounts to harass, manipulate or disrupt the community.
  • Do not attempt to circumvent GamingDNA systems, restrictions or moderation tools.

Not every possible situation can be listed in a set of rules.

Common sense still matters

These rules cannot cover every possible situation. GamingDNA staff may take reasonable action where behaviour is clearly harmful to the community, even if a specific situation is not explicitly described above.

Moderation action will depend on the circumstances, severity and history of the behaviour.

Minor or first-time issues may result in guidance or a warning.

Access to certain features or areas may be temporarily restricted.

Serious or repeated violations may result in a temporary or permanent suspension.
