Disney Dreamlight Valley

My partner plays Disney Dreamlight Valley on xbox and they can be on it for hours. I don't really understand the point of it but it is cool seeing them collect all the various Disney characters and going to the different Disney worlds. Has anyone else ever checked out the game? One game I used to play from the same company was Disney Speedstorm but I stopped playing that one as it was turning into a money making scam where you had to pay money to be able to do pretty much anything.
