What's the first game you remember playing? 🎮

[Phil]

Whether it was at home, at a friend's house, in an arcade or somewhere completely unexpected — what was the first game that sparked your love of gaming?

[Ravenfreak]

Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive was the very first video game I ever played. Sonic is my favorite gaming franchise too. My cousins brought their Genesis over to our grandparents house and I watched one of them play Sonic. They handed me the controller after getting a game over and the rest is history.

It was either pong or asteroids.

It was on a very old computer that took big floppy discs.

I don't miss that computer, but I miss the old days of the internet when things weren't as fast.

Getting old now so hard to remember but I think possibly Tetris of the NES.

[Retrochu]

My very first game was Donkey Kong on an arcade console! I never managed to save poor Pauline.

Umm... Super Mario I think.

If I recall correctly, Super Mario Bros. on a Super Nintendo was the very first game I ever played. I’ve thought about it a lot, and this is the only memory that comes to mind; I have no recollection of playing any other game for the first time. Besides, I was very young—probably around 5 years old.
