We're continuing to make GamingDNA smarter, more automated and, most importantly, less reliant on manual syncing.
Today we're introducing the GamingDNA Steam Achievement Scanner.
Previously, Steam achievement progress required a manual sync to make sure GamingDNA had the latest information.
That's now changing.
The new scanner will automatically check Steam achievement progress three times per day, with the Steam scan scheduled to run one hour before our Xbox achievement scanners.
So, when you unlock an achievement on Steam, GamingDNA should automatically pick up that change during the next scan and update your profile and game progress accordingly.
The aim is simple:
Play your games. We'll handle the syncing.
No more remembering to manually update your Steam achievements. GamingDNA will handle the background scanning and keep your achievement progress as up to date as possible.
This is a new system, so we're keeping a close eye on it.
Fingers crossed it behaves itself!
We'll be monitoring the scanner over the coming days and making any improvements needed as we continue developing the GamingDNA platform.
