GamingDNA Community Address — 18th October 2026
Hey everyone,First of all, apologies that this community address is a little late! I've been on night shift and then went straight to a party afterwards, so this is the first opportunity I've had to sit down and put this update together. There's quite a bit to cover, so let's get into it!
Xbox Blogs — The Next Big Step
One of the biggest areas of development at the moment is Xbox Blogs, and there's plenty more planned for it in the future. The aim is to build this into a proper part of the GamingDNA community, giving everyone the opportunity to document their gaming journeys, share their achievements and look back on their progress over time.
We're looking at the future development of Xbox Blogs, including further improvements to the overall experience and the introduction of daily and weekly updates. The idea is to give you more ways to follow your progress, see what's happening with your gaming, and make your blog a useful record of your Xbox journey.
But there's one important thing you need to do first!
You need to add your Xbox gamertag to your GamingDNA account to get your own Xbox Blog.
If you haven't linked your gamertag yet, now is the time to do it. We want as many members as possible to get involved, and the more people who take advantage of this feature, the better the community experience will become.
This is still an area we're developing, so expect more improvements and additions as we continue building it out.
Recent Updates — v2.08 to v2.13
We've had several updates since the last community address, covering a variety of improvements and new features. Here's a rundown of what's been happening.v2.08 — Miscellaneous Update
This update covered a collection of miscellaneous improvements and changes across GamingDNA.Not every update needs to introduce a massive new feature. Sometimes it's the smaller changes and refinements that help keep everything moving in the right direction as the site continues to grow.
v2.09 — Game of the Month
Game of the Month is here! This gives the community a dedicated way to celebrate games and get involved in discussions around the titles being featured. It's another opportunity to share your opinions, talk about what you're playing and take part in the wider gaming conversation.
Make sure you keep an eye on it and get involved!
v2.10 — Game of the Year
Following on from Game of the Month, we've also introduced Game of the Year. This gives us a way to celebrate the games that stand out and recognise the titles that deserve the community's attention. It'll be another great opportunity for members to have their say and get involved with the GamingDNA community.
v2.11 — Gamertag Battles
Fancy putting your gamertag up against someone else's?Gamertag Battles brings a competitive element to GamingDNA, giving members a new way to compare themselves and get involved with other gamers.
It's another feature designed to encourage interaction across the community, and we're looking forward to seeing members take part.
v2.12 — Community Interviews
This is one I'm particularly pleased to introduce: Community Interviews.GamingDNA is about the people behind the games just as much as the games themselves. Our interviews give us the opportunity to get to know members of the community, hear their stories and find out more about their gaming interests.
The first interview, featuring Gizmo, is now live!
Go and check it out, learn a little more about Gizmo and show some support for the first instalment. Hopefully, this will be the start of a series that gives more of our community members the chance to be featured.
v2.13 — Forum Reorganisation
Finally, we've carried out a forum reorganisation. As GamingDNA continues to develop, it's important that the forums remain organised and easy to navigate. This update is part of that ongoing effort to keep things structured as the community and its features grow.
Take a look around the forums and familiarise yourself with the changes.
What's Next for GamingDNA?
The updates above show that we're continuing to build on GamingDNA, adding new ways for members to participate and improving the experience along the way.Xbox Blogs will be a key area of future development, particularly as we work towards daily and weekly updates. If you've not linked your gamertag yet, please get that sorted so you can take advantage of your own blog when using the system.
We'll also continue developing the community features that give members reasons to return, contribute and get involved.
As always, the aim is to make GamingDNA a place where gamers can share their interests, discover new things and feel part of a community.
Thank You
Thanks to everyone who's been visiting the site, getting involved and supporting GamingDNA as it continues to grow.Whether you're taking part in discussions, checking out the latest features, reading community interviews or keeping track of your gaming through Xbox Blogs, your involvement helps make this community what it is.
And if you've been lurking in the background, consider this your invitation to get involved!
I'll be back with another update when there's more to share. Until then, enjoy the new features, check out Gizmo's interview, get involved with Game of the Month and Game of the Year, and don't forget to link your Xbox gamertag.
Thanks for being part of GamingDNA.
See you on the forums!
