Do you ever play games without sound?

Maybe you're watching TV, listening to music, or just prefer playing quietly.

Very rarely, unless the in-game music or commentary is particularly repetitive or otherwise annoying. Even then, you can usually mute either/or so it's even more rare that I fully play without sound.

Back in the day games like Resident Evil got played with no sound....

I want game sounds when I am playing games on the PC or a console. It is different when I am playing games on mobile as I don't want any sound at all when I play my favourite games on mobile.

The sound gives me the utmost gaming experience, there is no way I want to play without the soundtrack. If it seems disturbing to others around me then I make use of my headphones.

No, it's not possible for me to play any kind of video games without the sound. It will be like watching movies without the audio. A game isn't complete without the sound.

I can play without sound sometime. So, when I listen to music or podcast, I don't play the sound in the game. But I think it's only necessary for competitive games. You need it for footsteps and cues. For casual games, it doesn't really matter.

The only time I play games without sound is when I'm in a busy place, but when I'm at home or alone, I prefer playing my games with sound.

Yes when you are in a crowded place you won’t want to disturb the people there. That is the reason not reason I might play without sound, but I make sure I am with my EarPods.

Yes using an earpod is a good option, but when am in a public place, i always make sure I don't cover both ears so i can still be aware of what's going on around me.
