Have you ever watched a movie and figured out the ending long before it happened? Sometimes you can identify the villain, predict who will survive, or even guess the big plot twist within the first 30 minutes. Personally, I feel the bigger question is whether audiences have simply become better at recognizing storytelling patterns because we've seen so many movies, or do you think movies are becoming more predictable?

I think the problem is that there are millions of movies so there's rarely a chance for originality storyline wise. Sometimes the same formula plays out in hundreds of films

Movies seems predictable because they are a lot of content out there. Your imagination would tell you sometime, you know the end of it. So films being predictable isn't really a valid film criticism. If you watch enough movies, they almost all become predictable as you must have seen more storyline of it.
