Rewatching a show have same impact?

So years ago I watched Lost and it always had a cliff hanger at the end and I couldn't wait 7 days to watch it, it was that good.

When I rewatched with the wife, there was no suspense anymore so it kind of ruined the "I wonder what happens next" feeling. It just became episode after episode.

Anyone else get this?

No—unless a very long time passes, but even then, not really, because you’ll always remember something when you watch it again; the experience of seeing it for the first time is unique.
