I haven't pre-ordered a game since the last and final kickstarter I funded called Ashes of Creation. I'm done with modern gaming ngl so I won't get anything until it's long out dated and on sale to ensure it's 1. a decent game and 2. not going to get shut down in a year which means no more EA games since they're planning on making every game a year older+ not available for online play apparently (I heard it from someone so this is not a founded statement atm)

Just gone and checked that game, looks like people got burnt and requesting money back from Steam.I haven't pre-ordered a game since the last and final kickstarter I funded called Ashes of Creation. I had invested $1k in it myself and $500 for my wife :') obviously my own fault for throwing that type of money at an EA game in the first place, but I had backed it on Kickstarter when I had money to throw. That's before buying skins, thinking I was supporting the company and not a giant scam roflJust gone and checked that game, looks like people got burnt and requesting money back from Steam.

Well, I think pre-ordering games is a bit risky. I have seen many games that are launch with bugs and incomplete content. So, if you pre-order and the gameplay is quack, that's a total waste of money.

Not really, only once in a blue moon. I don’t normally pre-order games unless it’s something I’m really looking forward to, like MSFS 2024 or GTA. Most of the time I’m happy to wait and see how the game is first before buying it.

No—what for? Very few games offer anything truly worthwhile that would justify pre-ordering them. Honestly, I don’t see any games these days that stand out enough to warrant a pre-order. Back in the era of complete, physical games, I used to pre-order—that actually made perfect sense.
