Do you play Roblox?

Roblox was a game I never really showed a big interest in when it came to playing games. My kids were always on it after school, playing with their friends, but it wasn't until 2020, during the pandemic and the lockdowns we had, that I really gave Roblox a chance.

I now play Roblox pretty much daily if I have the time, and have just started playing a game called Supermarket Tycoon, which is a lot of fun, and easy to just have playing in the background and periodically add things and buy new things whilst I work on projects.

Do you play Roblox? What is your favourite Roblox game if you do play?

The amount of supermarkets and pizza shops I build during Covid was insane. I even made a game once.

Don't play it now though

Not a fan of it. Maybe an unpopular decision.

I downloaded the Mobile version, but I have never really been able to play it to date. I always find it hard to connect to a game, and when I finally connect, the whole game doesn't load fully.

I do not, and I will never. I completely understand why they did it, it's logical but it's scummy. They bought and shut down Guilded. Guilded was the largest alternative to discord and it was actually fantastic. The issue is, Tencent has a large share in Discord, they also have or own Roblox (because they own nearly everything gaming). Well, they decided to buy Guilded as Roblox, ruin it, then shut it down so they can ensure they have all of the extras that Guilded has but they can monetize it with Discord and ensure Discord does fall victim to the same fate MSN/Skype/AIM/etc. did.

Because of that single hostile takeover, I will never touch anything by Roblox.
